Marla Ritchie was an employee of Equilibrium. During the disaster at Aleph she was exposed to the liquid gold. Somehow it became part of her and she learned to control it becoming Crucible.

Marla first appears in Captain Canuck 2015- #2. She is rescued by Captain Canuck, but she had been exposed to the liquid gold. She develops into Crucible and becomes one of the Agents of PACT serving under Manon Des Champes
