Intrazone

The twenty-first century would witness the world collapsing on itself, brought low by ecological disaster. Cities became rubble and society fell into disorder. It would take a long time to put it all back together. When salvation came, it was due to advances in genetics which created a sort of living city which spread over five hundred miles of the eastern seaboard. Everything outside this “Intrazone” was a wasteland, torn by famine and infested with human predators. Access to the living city was strictly controlled, and the Admissions Control Bureau became the arbiters of life and death.

Reporter Linnea Steele was on the trail of a hot story one day when she boarded her news helicopter to cover riots at the Intrazone border.
