Infernal

This four-issue horror anthology is distinguished primarily by its over-the-top gruesomeness, rather than its original storytelling. Watson Portello is responsible for the art and writing of the series, which ranges from standard “devil dog in search of revenge” stories (complete with rape, decapitation, and more) to the dismemberment/cannibalism tale “The Axe.” Shocking, yes, but ultimately little more than gore for gore’s sake.
