Shelby Cooper, a well-endowed and otherwise gifted mechanic and amateur race-car driver living in a future where emissions of any kind, such as smoking or internal-combustion engines, are illegal within city limits. Taking a stand against these laws, Shelby lives out past the suburbs and races foolish college students for rent money, never failing to win with her hulking antique car. It just so happens that the same day she has to unexpectedly visit her brother, Rod, is the day that mysterious men in black decide to attack both of them. Rod reveals to Shelby the truth about their father: he had been a non-powered vigilante during the long-over super-human war, and that was what had really killed him. And now someone is coming for Shelby. She wastes no time in donning part of her father’s old costume and fighting back, and readers can be sure that there will be plenty of car chases and violence to come featuring the buxom young grease-monkey.
