Cassie Hack is someone who travels across the U.S. with her partner, Vlad. They're in search of killers known as slashers. Cassie has made it her life mission to put an end to the slashers. Cassie was forced to kill her own mother, who had risen from the dead to become a slasher, known as the Lunch Lady. This incident led to Cassie having the desire to stop other slashers from killing.

Cassie Hack's first appearance was Hack/Slash: Euthanized published by Devil's Due Publishing in April 2004. She appeared in one shot's and mini series. Before being moved to Image comics in 2010. In her early publishing history, she has fought Evil Ernie and Chucky from Child's Play. Cassie has had unusal teamup's. Like Vampirella, the crow, and Ash from army of darkness.
